I've probably come up with more than I can fill one stocking with for each person. Stocking stuffers are simple and fun and although they’re small, they can be really meaningful. One year I went on a hunt for my husband’s favorite chapstick, which we were no longer able to find in stores, and filled the toe of his stocking with it when I’d found it. Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Spouses

Personal care products

Growing up, we always got toothbrushes and razors in our Christmas stockings. Get your spouse’s favorite chapstick, a new razor fancier than the one they use, a toothbrush in their favorite color, face masks, etc. Sometimes those everyday necessities make a good gift when you make them a bit more of a splurge or more fun than your spouse would when buying them for themselves.

Socks

Socks can be a cliche gift but also a really fun one! Warm, fuzzy socks make a great gift this time of year. If your spouse likes fancy or fun socks, they can be good as well! I love DivvyUp Socks that you can personalize with pictures and words! We have a pair with mine and Joe’s faces on it, and one with our names that I like to mix and match. You can add your anniversary date, your kids’ faces, your pet, or whatever your heart desires.

A favorite drink

Grab a bottle of their favorite soda, a gift card to their favorite drink shop, a box of their choice of tea, etc., and slip it in the stocking. Especially if your spouse’s daily routine includes grabbing a drink on their way to work or prepping it when they get there. Having that in your stocking, when you aren’t able to get it from work or a store, will keep your day on track. You will have one happy spouse!

Small gift cards

This time of year you can find gift cards to some of your favorite places, in smaller increments. $10-$15 gift cards make great stocking stuffers! Think of a few places your spouse loves to go for breakfast, lunch, snacks, or fun and grab gift cards. One or two cards to places they’ll love make a great stocking gift. I know a gift card to pay for my go-to breakfast on rushed mornings would make me the happiest wife!

A card game

Stocking stuffer sized games are often perfect for packing in a purse or a pocket to play at the table while you wait for your food on date night. We have a few favorites that are classics every family should own, but also make a great date night pal. Uno is a must-have for every family. I also love the game Pig Out which is also called Pass the Pigs. Check the game area at the store nearest you, where they hang the cards and smaller games. Those are the kind you’re looking for!

Jewelry

It doesn’t matter who your spouse is, a simple piece of jewelry hidden in your stocking is joyful! A necklace, bracelet, or pair of earrings for your wife. A tie tack or cuff links for your husband. You might even look at silicone rings to gift to each other to wear in place of your regular wedding rings when appropriate.

Novelty treats

What are those snacks or treats your spouse loves that they can’t just walk into any store and purchase? Find out where to buy them, and get a handful to gift to your spouse. Make sure they know it’s their own stash, for their enjoyment only!

A love note

One of my favorite ideas for putting in your spouse’s stocking is a little love note. It can be a letter you write, a list of reasons you love them, a cheesy card you grab at the store, whatever fits your relationship and personality. Even if you and your spouse aren’t words of affirmation love language people, hearing how much and why your person loves you will make anyone’s heart grow!
