When we made plans to go to Idaho for a wedding, I decided to make it a mini vacation so that we could take a breather after our crazy month/week and get a “vacation” in for the summer.
Saturday night after the wedding, we crashed and watched movies and TV. We did take a small walk across the street to Chili’s for dinner. The chips and corn guacamole were delicious!!!
Sunday morning we had a yummy continental breakfast in our hotel! I ate one of everything, literally! We split a bagel and a chocolate muffin and I had cereal and fruit with cottage cheese and rice krispies! MMmmm… I could have continental breakfast every morning!
I drove us to Rexburg after we’d checked out and we stopped in to say hi to my friend, her husband and their cute little boy! He’s 8 months old, and he is a chunk and so handsome and fun! His smile made my day and it was so fun to play with him for a bit! I’m glad that we got to stop and visit them and catch up and say hi! Hopefully we’ll get to see them in Utah soon!
Unfortunately, Joe’s cousin and his wife missed our call so we didn’t get to stop in and say hi to them on our way out of town. We didn’t know where they lived so we couldn’t just stop by. I took Joe on a driving tour of all of the important locations in Rexburg that were part of my time there. I’m not sure he was thrilled about that or as excited as I was!
On our way back home, we made a couple of detours and one of them was by a really nice pier overlooking the Snake River! Joe decided that we needed to get out and stretch our legs and walk around a bit, so we did! I love these pictures that I decided to take!
