Christmas Gifts for Couples – Gift Ideas to Strengthen Your Marriage
Couples journal
One thing that I think can be really powerful for your relationship is to record the moments you share together. And each of your thoughts and feelings during those moments. Two of my favorite journals for couples come from Promptly Journal. The Our Love Story journal is a fun way to record your love story, from beginning to end. I love including this journal in our anniversary tradition each year. We update it during our celebration, with all of the details from the previous year of our marriage. I also really love the Loom Couples Connection Journal. Each page has three prompts on one side and the same three prompts on the other side. You’ll sit down together as a couple and fill out your answers, then discuss them and connect. It makes a great addition to date night or your marriage meeting each week.

Adventure Challenge
If you’ve never heard of The Adventure Challenge, you need to check them out! They put together a book, with 50 scratch-off adventures, and you don’t know what you’re going to do together until you do it. You are provided with enough information to know if the adventure will fit your current circumstances and the rules are that once you scratch it off, you have to go for it! There’s a version for couples, families, friends, and a recent solo version so no matter who you are, you can go on an adventure!
Adventure and novelty and new experiences are really powerful in a marriage. They add to your romance and fun and build new moments that you’ve experienced as a couple. This is a great way to add some planned spontaneity to your marriage! These adventures make great dates or moments of connection during the middle of the week! They even have a subscription box that you can use to help you complete one of the adventures as a date each month. Add the subscription to your gift this year to take your date nights to the next level in the coming year.

Date box subscription
Giving the gift of date night is one of my favorite things to do for the holidays. I love a good date night subscription box because it gives you at least one, if not more, date night already planned out and ready to go a month. Take the planning off your spouse’s plate and sign your marriage up for a monthly date night to arrive on your doorstep!

Conversation starters
A lot of couples feel that after they reach a certain point in their marriage, they know everything there is to know about each other. But the truth is, there is always something to learn about your spouse! Make this next year the year that you deepen your connection and get to know each other even better. Pick up a conversation book or card deck and add it to your spouse’s stocking or wrap it up under the tree.

Something for the bedroom
I’ve heard of some couples putting together a sexy stocking for each other. Or deciding together to gift at least one intimacy-focused thing for the holiday. Those gifts are obviously exchanged in a private moment, away from everyone else. Pick something from Mentionables that you know your spouse would love. Or purchase a gift card so they can pick something out after the holiday. I also really love Coconu and its natural products that are safe and healthy!

An overnight getaway
Take advantage of the time when you might have extra family in town and sneak away for a night together after the holiday festivities are over. Overnight dates are our favorite and we go on one at least twice a year! Taking the time to step away from life and all of the responsibilities you have provides you with an opportunity to connect and focus on your relationship with each other, outside of the other roles you share in life.

Regardless of what gifts you are planning to give your spouse this year, try to pick at least one that will benefit and strengthen your marriage in the coming year. You might even decide to work together to pick out a joint gift, kind of like a family gift, but one that’s just for the two of you, to put some of your gift budgets toward. You won’t regret finding ways to make your marriage better!
