Stocking stuffers are some of my favorite things to shop for. But I also feel like they're sometimes the hardest thing to get. Maybe it's because I feel pressured to fill the entire stocking, and that seems difficult, depending on how large they are. Or maybe it's because it's an extension of gifts under the tree, and I try to make it good, without going over budget. Whatever my struggle, I hope that this list of stocking stuffer ideas for spouses will help those of you with the same predicament as me this year!

External charger

There have been so many times this year when I’ve pulled out my external charger. We got them for each other a few years back as stocking stuffers, and they’re still used on a regular basis. Ours don’t hold a charge for quite as long these days, so we’re going to be getting new ones soon. This is the one on my wishlist currently.

Purse size hand sanitizer

A 2020 staple, need I say more? I’ll just add that a small bottle with one of those handy key chain holders makes a really great gift! One of my favorite couples launched these gorgeous vegan leather ones that come with a leak-proof bottle. The perfect stocking stuffer!

Pocket pack of sanitizing wipes

At least once a week, I pack the sanitizing wipes with me in the car and wipe everything down while I wait in the school pick-up line. If you can find them in stores, get a few packs so they can keep them in their car and in their desk at work.

A new card game

We all need something new to do together this season, while we’re at home more than before. Card games make the perfect stocking stuffer for your spouse. We really love Play Nine, it’s a family favorite that my husband and his family introduced me to and then we introduced my family to. I think every home needs the Uno card game, and maybe a couple of the different varieties of the game. My family always played Harry Potter Uno growing up, but the new Uno Flip looks fun as well!

Gift card for their favorite takeout

I usually get my husband a gift card for his favorite lunch spot and/or his favorite date night restaurant. There are a few places close to his work where he loves to eat and loves gift cards for. And you can’t go wrong giving a gift card for date night!

Bluetooth earbuds

Everyone deserves a good pair of wireless, bluetooth earbuds. But maybe not ones that are so expensive you feel sick if they get lost or ruined. I gifted these ones to myself earlier this year and have loved them. Amazon has a lot of great earbud options, so you are sure to find something quality that’s not too expensive and that your spouse will love.

A small thing of lotion

Winter is hard on our hands as it is, but the constant washing in 2020 might do them in. The year we had a preemie at home and were washing our hands constantly, I invested in some really good lotion. I kept a small tube of this lotion on my desk at work, in my car, in my purse, and next to all of the sinks in the house. I also love this intense moisture repair and slather it on the backs of my hands every night before bed. Get your spouse one or two to keep their hands soft this season!

Elderberry gummies

This might be the most random idea on this list, but it felt fitting for this year. Give your spouse a little immunity boost with some elderberry gummies or even elderberry syrup. Stuff it into the toe of their stocking as a unique way of showing them you care.

Their favorite treat

Favorite treats and drinks and snacks are a classic stocking stuffer. I always try to grab something for my husband to drink, something sweet that he loves, and a salty or savory snack he can enjoy as well.

Coconu

Something that adds to your intimate life makes the perfect stocking stuffer! Coconu is an all-natural lubricant made with 100% safe and organic ingredients. Every couple needs Coconu in their bedroom. It’s great not only for your intimate moments, but can be used as a lotion, massage oil, and even as a lip balm. They offer oil-based and water-based lubricants as well as a CBD body oil. Use code APM15 for 15% off your purchase of Coconu.

Bath bomb

I love a nice relaxing bath with a fun bath bomb. And a bath makes a relaxing and intimate mid-week date. In the last few years, there has been at least one bath bomb in my husband’s stocking for us to enjoy together. My favorite are the ones from Lush!

Silicone ring

My husband’s wedding ring is made of one of those materials that can’t be cut off your finger in case of emergency. Because of that, it’s often sitting on the bathroom counter, so it won’t cause an issue while he’s doing hard labor or working on projects. A silicone ring, like the ones from Qalo, has been on my list to get him for a year or so now. If your spouse is active, works in an industry where their ring could get ruined, or can’t wear their ring for one reason or another, consider adding this to their stocking this year! Silicone rings are inexpensive and make a great gift.

Hot cocoa bomb

Have you seen the fun hot cocoa bomb trend that hit social media this year? It’s like a bath bomb that turns a cup of warm milk into a chocolately treat. And it’s the delicious fun that we didn’t know 2020 needed! My favorite local business, ships hot cocoa bombs, you can check them out and order here. Or ask around on social media for a small business in your area that is making them and support them. I grabbed a couple of fun holiday-shaped ones to put in stockings this year.

stocking stuffers

Stocking stuffer ideas are some of my favorite things to seek out online! I love to see what other ideas are out there and what traditions other families have for them. Growing up, there was always a banana, apple, or orange in our stocking on Christmas morning, to accompany our breakfast. The rest of the stocking stuffers were a mix of fun and useful things. I hope this stocking stuffer ideas list has provided you with a variety of ideas and maybe some new traditions you’ll use for years to come!
